Where is my supersuit?!?
Just when you thought that Disney/Pixar couldn't possibly top their latest and greatest creation, they came out with "The Incredibles." I LOVE this movie!!! It's got everything - comedy, action, drama, romance, family squabbles, super heroes, super villains, indestructible machines, and even machine-washable super suits. What more could you ask for?
I am so impressed with the over-all quality of the movie - the way it was written, the loveable and interesting characters and of course the CGI was just amazing! It's something every kid of every age will enjoy. I think that's what I love most about Disney (even though I believe that Disney sold his soul to the Devil)........that no matter how old I get, they will always make sure that I haven't lost touch with my inner child.
My favorite character in the movie is Dash, the speedy little rascal who always manages to get himself into trouble. My second favorite is Elastigirl. She kicks ass.....she's a Sock'er Mom alright! She's right, we can't leave the saving of the world to the men! :)
Anyway, as has been the custom with Disney/Pixar movies, they showed the latest animated short film before the movie started. This year's short film was the most adorable film I've ever seen!!! Check out a sneak peak of Boundin' , it received an Oscar nod and I feel sorry for the other nominees.
This film was directed, written and narrated by Bud Luckey, the guy who came up with Woody from "Toy Story." But what most impressed me with this guy was all his counting songs from Sesame Street! Remember the little counting song about the alligator king? Good times!
"1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 said the Alligator King to his seven sons. I'm feeling mighty down. Whichever of you can cheer me up will get to wear my crown."
